Concept: Creating Connections is a proposed online space in which my community at USF could share experiences and feelings during a time of prolonged collective isolation and uncertainty. This is a project that is aimed at capturing the unique circumstances of graduating in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Apart from being a deadly disease, the pandemic affected individuals in a multitude of ways. One of those being the feeling of prolonged isolation. Dude to stay-at-home orders, quarantines, and encouraged social distancing, many people lost the multitude connections that they were used to making everyday. With a lack of face to face connection with others, there was a significant increase in feelings of isolation and loneliness.

Creating connections is a web-based space aimed at creating a sense of community through commonalities. By asking questions that encourage the sharing of experiences, my hope was for people viewing the site to feel that they aren't as alone in their endeavors as they might feel.
